01

Deep cleaning

The first step is to do a deep cleanse to remove residue. This cleanse should be done once a month; this is what we call "clarifying." If you have an oily scalp, it's recommended to do this cleanse at least three times a month.

Example: Hibiscus Detox Shampoo

Low Poo

Starting with the second wash, you'll start a routine with Low Poo, a gentler way to cleanse your scalp. For this, you'll need a shampoo with medium-strength cleansers; the shampoo is applied only to the scalp.

Example: Kia Ora Ultra Smooth (sensitive scalp), Kia Ora Jordan (dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis) and Kia Ora Cubano (oily scalp)

Time to condition

Every time you wash your hair after a low-poo, you should condition it. This will give it elasticity, shine, and help keep it hydrated. With the conditioner in place, start detangling your hair from the ends to the roots, preventing breakage, and rinse thoroughly.

Example:

  • High Porosity – Gyada Anti-Frizz Conditioner
  • Medium Porosity – Gyada Strengthening Conditioner with Spirulina
  • Low Porosity – Korean Evolution Conditioner

Choose a mask

Once a week, we'll apply a progressive treatment after the low poo, so we'll skip the conditioner on that day of the week.

Example:

  • High Porosity – Extreme Repair Mask Alma Secret
  • Medium Porosity – Alma Secret Curly Superglow Mask
  • Low Porosity – Curly Superglow Mask Alma Secret

We'll leave the mask on for 10 to 15 minutes. Take the opportunity to detangle your hair.

Clarify and shape

Once the mask or conditioner has been rinsed out, it's time to style your hair. At this point, we apply the leave-in. This product will provide elasticity, shine, hydration, and help reduce frizz. Apply a small amount from the ends to the roots.

The secret isn't in the amount of product we apply, but in distributing it properly. Brush and massage the product with your hands until you feel more supple.

Example:

  • High Porosity – My Best Option
  • Medium Porosity – Anira Curls Leave in Protection
  • Low Porosity – My Volume Booster

Defining gel

The final step is to set the shape of your curls to maintain them for longer. You'll need to use a styling technique.

Example:

  • High Porosity – Gyada Strengthening Gel with Spirulina
  • Medium Porosity – Korean Performance Gel
  • Low Porosity – Styling Gel Flax it
